8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

CUPS™ Payment Services is a joint venture between Alberta and Saskatchewan Centrals that delivers payment processing and related value-added services to Alberta and Saskatchewan credit unions and several other corporate clients. Services offered include clearing and deposit processing, electronic payments, statement processing, document imaging, bill payment processing, distribution services and various back-office support services.

The Team

The Image Clearing Services Team is responsible for cheque capture and encode, data entry, reject repair, and balancing of deposits, clearings, and bill payments.  The team is also responsible for automated settlement, cheque/custom fine-sorting, report generation, and file transmissions.

The Position

As a Sorter Operator, you will be responsible for the sorting of cheques and other items by preparing deposits and incoming items, and operating the Image sorter equipment according to specific programs.  Your duties will also include image file and report generation, accurate logging of all job submissions and operating issues, and verifying all deposits to ensure encoding quality.  You will verify and prepare outgoing bank items, and outgoing Centrals and credit union clearing items for distribution.  You will also provide feedback to the credit unions on quality control issues.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 education
  • Experience within a data processing centre or related proof and clearing environment
  • Solid computer skills and knowledge of data processing applications
  • Must be bondable

  • Experience working within a team and knowledge of team dynamics
  • Good English communication and customer service skills
  • Hands on experience with machine repairs and maintenance would be beneficial
